What's in a name?

In 1 Samuel 7, Israel experiences revival under the leadership of Samuel.  The nation repented of their sins and began to seek God.  During this time, the Philistines came to battle the Israelites.  God sent them supernatural help, and the Israelites defeated the Philistines.  To commemorate the divine victory, "Samuel took a stone and set it up between Mizpah and Shen.  He named it Ebenezer, saying Thus far the Lord has helped us." 1 Samuel 7:12  Ebenezer means "stone of help." Our Ebenezer Team will help us build our new school, and our school will be a stone of remembrance. It will mark the spot where God fulfilled His promise and helped us build His school!
