Black to lead, build volleyball program

Mrs. Alexis Black is the new Director of Volleyball & Head Varsity Coach for the 2025-26 season at L.E.A.D. Academy.  “Coach Black will bring great energy and excitement to the Volleyball program,” Athletic Director George Sands said. “Under Black’s leadership, we look to build the program from the elementary level through High School in the coming years.”

Coach Black earned her bachelor’s in exercise science with an emphasis on strength and conditioning from the University of West Florida. In addition to volleyball, she will take a more significant role in the overall athletics strength and conditioning program at the school. L.E.A.D. Academy is a Classical Christian school for K4-12th grades. Our mission is to provide families with a learning environment and support system that enables students to grow spiritually, mentally, and physically into an adult with a Christian worldview. The school’s athletic program participates in FHSAA Class 1A and includes sports for 6th-12th graders in cross country, volleyball, basketball, baseball, softball, and track and field. Additional sports offerings for 2nd grade-5th graders include volleyball, football, basketball and more coming in August 2025.
