Struwe to Head Baseball Program

Coach Paul Struwe is the new Head Baseball Coach for the 2025-26 season at L.E.A.D. Academy.

Coach Struwe brings 20+ years of coaching experience. Struwe has coached for most of his career at Rocky Bayou Christian School in Niceville but has also coached in Georgia, North Carolina, and Louisiana. When at Rocky, they won multiple Panhandle Christian Conference championships and have multiple FHSAA state playoff appearances.

“My coaching philosophy starts and ends with this quote from St. Augustin of Hippo-"Set love as the criterion of all that you say. When you teach, teach in such a way that those who hear, by hearing; will believe, by believing; will hope, and by hoping; love,” shares Struwe.

When asked about his plans for the Lions, Struwe stated, “The game plan is to be consistent with the Scriptures as to use the beautiful game of baseball as a platform to teaching Christ and discipling young men to learn how to be better followers of Christ by emphasizing doing your best, according to the rules, by putting your team above yourself as you work as unto the Lord.”

Struwe is in his second year working at L.E.A.D. Academy. Frank Lay, Head of School, states, “Paul Struwe models servant leadership. We are blessed to have a man with his baseball knowledge and success to be leading our young men and the baseball program. He is a winner in the truest sense and you can count on our Lions playing with a lot of hustle and enthusiasm!”
