A God-Sized Dream

Thirty-five Students

 

Leadership. Enthusiasm. Attitude. Discipline.

 

 

That's where this dream started in 2013 when God laid the burden on Frank Lay's heart.  Our focus: Jesus' Kingdom first; ultra-high quality, first-class classical education second.

 

Throughout the journey, God has favored L.E.A.D. Academy.  We've seen miracles happen, lives changed, students excel, and a community unite.....and we are just getting started.

We are honored to call you friend and teammate on this journey. Next year’s registration numbers already exceed projections! God is up to something special at this school. “Ability is important, dependability is critical.” God has blessed our staff with the ability to teach and operate a school. It’s critical though, that we are able to depend on His people to for continued support.

The Plan

The Pod Approach​​

  • Access control - Fenced in the perimeter, easily secured.

  • Expandable - Pods are identical, reducing permitting and infrastructure overhead.

  • Multiple Drop-offs - Allow for efficient traffic flow.

  • Large Capacity - Each pod will contain 8 classrooms, up to 160 students each.

  • State-of-the-Art - Modern lighting, climate control, and more.

The Campus

​The campus will ultimately grow into a fully comprehensive school, enabling children to discover and pursue their God-given abilities.  Future plans include:

  • A 2,000 seat performing arts auditorium.

  • An athletic stadium, gymnasium, & sports facilities.

  • Room for 810 students with 54 classrooms.

  • Large chapel.

Fundraising

  • The Joppa Campus of L.E.A.D. Academy will be funded by the community with 0 tax dollars.

​

  • Our Phase I goal of $2,000,000 has been met and exceeded. The Lord is faithful.

​

  • Our primary fundraising method is room sponsorships and our annual fund drive. More details below.

​

  • Room sponsors can spread out the payment over three years.

​

  • Every dollar donated is fully tax deductible through L.E.A.D.'s 501(c)(3) designation.​​​

HOW TO HELP

We believe that God has called us to build this school and make disciples in His name.  We’d love to partner with you in that endeavor.

 

Opportunities include:

  • Sponsor and theme a classroom around your business, family legacy, or group.

  • Donate to help raise funds to share the Gospel.

​

  • Purchase school equipment (playground items, desks, dry erase boards, computers).

ROOM SPONSORSHIPS

Businesses, individuals, families, and groups may sponsor rooms for $40,000
Here are a few details and benefits of a room sponsorship:

  • Donations are tax-deductible through the 501(c)(3) designation

  • Donations can be spread out over three years ($10k down, $10k/yr)

  • Sponsored rooms decor are themed to your business, family, or group

  • Sponsor-led field-trips allow students to experience new industries

  • Students gain knowledge of local career opportunities, something most students don't consider until after graduation

Example room sponsors:

  • Individuals - Anonymous room themed around a chosen scripture verse

  • Family legacy - Room contains information about the family's local history

  • Home building business - Students see pictures of homes under construction and in-class exhibits of tools, sample construction materials, etc

  • Local dentistry - Students see dental tools and equipment as well as illustrations of dental procedures.  Students visit dental office to learn about the profession.

  • Designated military groups (Wounded Warrior, Purple Heart, etc) - Students can learn about the sacrifices made for our country

  • Medical/Legal Practices - Students exposed to the ins and outs of these professional industries.

L.E.A.D. Academy is exempt from federal income taxes under Section 501(C)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Therefore your donation is tax-deductible to the full extent provided by law.

 

L.E.A.D. Academy is a nonprofit charity operating since 2013. Our federal tax identification number is 46-3044025. You should consult your financial planner or tax adviser to determine the exact tax advantages of any gift you are considering. 

 

We provide a tax receipt for all tax-deductible donations. If you need a copy of the tax receipt statement or need a receipt for your annual giving, please call 850-995-1900.  Receipts for donations over $75 are generated automatically at the end of the year.
